About This Analysis
3Y0K activated Bouvet Island (DXCC #24) from March 1-14, 2026 — the first major activation since 3Y0J in 2023 of Club Log's #2 most wanted DXCC entity. Located at 54°S in the South Atlantic, Bouvet presents extreme high-latitude propagation challenges.
This analysis combines 3,209 RBN skimmer observations and 100,292 PSK Reporter spots with solar conditions data to map propagation patterns across all HF bands including WARC.
Data sources: Reverse Beacon Network, PSK Reporter, NOAA SWPC, GFZ Potsdam, DSCOVR L1.
Coverage note: RBN skimmers decode CW and RTTY only. PSK Reporter captures digital modes (FT8, FT4). SSB contacts are not represented in this analysis — DX cluster spot archives (the only source for SSB observations) are not currently ingested.
Data quality note: All data is presented unfiltered from the source. Occasional artifacts exist (e.g., a small number of RBN spots tagged as FM — a known skimmer misidentification, not actual FM transmissions from Bouvet).
